How to Take Care of Your Swimming Pool

Are you trying to tend your swimming pool to the best of your ability?  Look at the needs of your pool water and clean your pool filters regularly. Purchasing the right chemicals to maintain your pool may ease your maintenance approach and even improve the quality of your pool water too… but the application of the right chemicals and mere observation is not enough for the best pool health. 

It requires you to sharpen your pool maintenance skills, readiness to learn and pay attention to the tiniest of all details. Some people prefer the idea of engaging experts regarding it but if you are more of a home remedy person. Then keep running your eyes through the pool maintenance list below and remember to pay attention to every detail.

Be deliberate about your water's needs 

Since the ability of your water to neutralize acidity can go a long way in determining the best pool health, you need to get acquainted with your pool's total alkalinity and PH levels. Alkalinity represents the capacity of your water to neutralize the acid. It has an offspring relationship with PH. Therefore, the higher the alkalinity, the higher the PH level of your water.

Also, you need to be familiar with the amount of calcium, chlorine, inorganic salts and cyanuric acid present in your water. These constituents have their respective benefits. Understand their benefits and use it for your swimming pool health.

Apply the right chemicals to your pool water

No surprise here but you need to reconcile with the fact that knowing your water's needs alone may not be enough.  Sometimes, chemical solutions may be the only viable means to sustain your swimming pool health. Carry out the chemical application at regular intervals. While this is only a general rule regarding chemical use, the product's instruction pack contains the appropriate dosage. Hence, it is advisable to apply the chemicals based on its manufacturer's instructions.

- Algaecide

- Chlorine

- Bromine

- Trichlor
